Alexandria, VA – September 23, 2010 – The National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) applauds today’s action by the Federal Communications Commission expanding E-Rate funding eligibility to both local government and non-profit networks.  “We congratulate the Commission, under the leadership of Chairman Julius Genachowski, for taking this action to provide additional E-Rate funding options and flexibility.  With today’s order, more of our nation’s schools and libraries will have access to affordable broadband service,” said Ken Fellman, President of NATOA.  “This is just another step that this Commission has taken to ensure that all Americans have access to advanced communications services.”
