FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — Alexandria, VA - (March 15, 2011) – The National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) congratulates former FCC Chairman Michael Powell on being named President of the National Cable and Telecommunications Association (NCTA). “We look forward to working with Mr. Powell on issues of common interest to both NATOA and NCTA,” said NATOA President Ken Fellman. “Our associations have worked well together in the past and I expect our relationship of shared respect will continue.”

“NATOA looks forward to continuing the long-term partnership between the cable industry and localities,” stated NATOA Executive Director Steve Traylor. “Despite our occasional differences, cable and localities have worked together for three decades to ensure that the benefits of cable and broadband technology, including I-Nets and PEG channels, become available to as many Americans as possible.”
