Sandy, OR Files Comments in the NOI

NATOA member Sandy, Oregon has filed comments with the FCC in the Notice of Inquiry (“NOI”) concerning rights of way and wireless facilities siting policies (WC Docket No. 11-59). Among its comments, the city states: “In the face of mounting complaints from residents and businesses about the lack of broadband service, the Sandy City Council in 2001 created a municipal broadband utility, and began offering, as a city service, DSL, wireless, and fiber-based broadband services.
