Call for Ideas/Call for Speakers

Don’t Delay - Response Required by January 15, 2008

NATOA’s Annual Conference is set for September 17 - 21, 2008 at the Atlanta Hilton in Atlanta, Georgia.

NATOA is committed to providing conference attendees with the highest quality presentations possible, so we are asking for your input. NATOA will offer a number of General Sessions to all attendees, and concurrent track sessions for 2008 will again be divided among the following three categories: Community Networks, Policy & Legal, and Programming .

In planning the upcoming conference, we would like to solicit ideas for individual sessions as well as potential speakers. Please use the forms provided through the hyperlinks above to provide your ideas or suggestions for content within a specific track or session, to self-nominate to speak on a specific topic, or to recommend an individual to speak on a specific topic. Please note that should you recommend a specific topic, you may be called upon to elaborate on the session description for publication purposes. Please be sure to use the form appropriate to the General Sessions or Tracks as specified.

We are also seeking ideas or interested participants for the Technology Showcases that are growing increasingly more popular each year! Please refer anyone interested to the web site as listed above for further information.

All interested individuals must respond no later than January 15, 2008. Once the Conference Committee has reviewed all session ideas submitted, as well as speaker proposals, a preliminary program will be drafted. At that time, should the need arise, we will post additional calls for speakers based on the topics chosen for the coming year.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to be a part of this exciting and prestigious event! Submit your ideas and/or needs for information; nominate yourself, or someone you know (with their consent), to speak to our members and guests; help us construct the best possible conference for you! Membership is not required to participate in this call for ideas/speakers.

Note: Complete contact information is required for any individual nominated to speak. Each individual must be willing to provide both electronic and hard copies of their presentation in advance of the conference, and provide copies for conference participants. NATOA does not provide reimbursement for travel or accommodations during the conference. Speaker registration for the conference is complementary only for the day in which the speaker is participating. Those interested in attending sessions on other days of the conference must register for those days.

Individuals selected will be contacted with a formal invitation and additional information.
