Member Benefits
In addition to influencing legislation and policy, NATOA provides direct and tangible benefits to its members.
NATOA Journal
As NATOA’s membership has increased, this quarterly has become a valuable tool for communications professionals throughout the country. The Journal reviews specific issues of concern to our membership on an in-depth basis. Also included are new member listings and information for upcoming NATOA workshops, training seminars, and conferences.
Discounted Member Rates
NATOA holds several workshops, training seminars or regional conferences annually, as well as an extensive annual conference each year. Each of these events provides an opportunity for our members to get up-to-date information, and practical assistance from experts in their fields. All NATOA members enjoy discounted rates when attending any of the NATOA workshops, eNATOA seminars, regional and national conferences.
Member Communities
A national e-mail list is available to government and government retained members. Needing only basic e-mail capability to participate, members become part of a vital interchange of communications information (web interface is also available). This exchange of ideas and experiences can become a key resource in keeping abreast of policy developments and sharing problems and solutions with professional peers around the country. This service is limited to Individual and Government Agency members. Any requests for exception to the Member Communities membership policy should be directed to the Executive Director of NATOA.
Discounted Publications
NATOA produces written materials on a variety of communications issues to enhance the understanding of their impact on local governments. All members receive reduced pricing for all publications. Members-only free publications are sent to your home or office, or are available through electronic download.
