Broadband As An Economic Development Tool
NATOA has long advocated that broadband can be a very powerful economic development tool. Presentations in this area can be reviewed here.NATOA has also joined the call for the use of broadband as part of the nation’s economic stimulus package. Consistent with statements from President-Elect Obama, from Speaker Pelosi and other leaders within our nation, NATOA has developed some suggestions and principles, along with related materials in that regard. In addition, NATOA is pleased to share examples of broadband projects that could be commenced upon the receipt of funding, which will bolster the immediate economic impact to those communities.
