NATOA Congratulates Member Projects Recognized as Broadband “Heroes” by Computerworld Honors Program
June 4, 2013 10:46 AMFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — June 4, 2013 — The National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) congratulates four of its members on being selected as 2013 Computerworld Honor Laureates. Broadband projects by the City of Boston, the City and County of San Francisco, Clackamas County, OR and the Government of DC were among the 16 projects funded through NTIA’s Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (“BTOP”) to be honored for their innovative use of technology.
“NATOA congratulates our members on this well-deserved recognition,” noted NATOA President Joanne Hovis. “Their extraordinary programs provide innovative solutions to narrowing the digital divide and bringing the benefits of technology to all communities across the country.”
