Professional Bio
Brandon Dittman is a Partner at the Denver Law firm of Kissinger & Fellman, P.C.. Brandon’s practice focuses on utilities law and policy, municipal law, telecommunications law, the growing area of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS or “drone”) law and policy. Brandon serves as the Town Attorney for Lyons and Empire, Colorado and the City Attorney of Las Animas, Colorado. Brandon is licensed Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Remote Pilot in Command under Part 107, is a long-time model aviator, and is working towards obtaining his private pilot license as a manned aviator.
Brandon advises municipalities and private entities across the United States as both operators and regulators of UAS and has been heavily involved in the creation of comprehensive internal UAS use policies and the drafting of legally permissible UAS regulations. Brandon’s experience as a licensed commercial UAS operator, model aviator, aspiring manned aviator, and Town and City Attorney provides him with unique perspective on the various challenges of UAS operations, regulation, and integration which he regularly speaks on to organizations and universities across the United States.
Mr. Dittman is licensed to practice law in the state and federal courts of Colorado and New Jersey and is a proud graduate of Purdue University and the University of Colorado Law School.
