Professional Bio
Elisabeth Perez serves as the Director for the Office for Community Technology for the City of Portland, OR. Elisabeth served as a Senior Policy Advisor and later as Operations Director for Mayor Ted Wheeler, where she focused on emergency management, resilience, innovation, and technology. She has been instrumental in the development of City policy regarding right-of-way protections and privacy and information protections. Over the last year and a half, she was able to use her combined background in Emergency Management and Digital Equity to work with a diverse group of stakeholders to provide technology kits-devices, internet, and training-to community members during the COVID-19 pandemic. She earned her Master of Science in Disaster Resilience from Tulane University and applies the principles of community resilience in her daily work. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring Oregon, traveling, and relaxing with her dog, Zoomy.
