Nina Chavez Gongora is an award-winning filmmaker and Communications Director for the City of Alamo, Texas. With over 13 years of experience in visual storytelling and creative leadership, she specializes in transforming how local governments connect with their communities through digital media.
She holds a Master of Arts in Screenwriting from the London Film School, a postgraduate specialization in Filmmaking from Prague Film School, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Texas–Pan American.
At the City of Alamo, Nina has led innovative multimedia initiatives that strengthen public trust, enhance transparency, and increase community engagement across social media platforms. Her work focuses on making government communication more accessible, relevant, and impactful in today’s on-demand, video-driven world.
Her experience spans commercial projects, short films, and feature-length productions across Mexico, the Czech Republic, England, and the United States, including contributions to Netflix series such as Narcos and Monarca.
