Doug Povich

Douglas Povich is a Management Analyst III in the Communications Policy and Regulation Division of Fairfax County’s Department of Cable and Consumer Services where he works on cable TV, media and technology issues. Before joining the County in 2017, Doug practiced telecommunications and technology law for over thirty years at several law firms including Squire, Sanders as Partner and Povich Law Office, PLLC as Founder, focusing on regulatory and transactional matters in the wireline, wireless and public safety communications sectors. An outspoken advocate for the food truck industry, Doug was a food truck owner and founding member and previous Chairman of the DMV Food Truck Association. He holds a B.A. in English and Philosophy from Union College (1982) and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center (1985). Doug is a 5th generation native Washingtonian now residing in Fairfax County with his wife, Robyn. He is the proud father of his son Alex and three cats and is an avid yogi and sailor.
