Professional Bio
Mark Kaufmann has worked in video production for the City of Allen, Texas since 2000, starting as a Media Technician and now serving as Media Operations and Production Manager for ACTV.
He oversees studio operations, production systems, and a small team responsible for creating content for the city’s cable channel and digital platforms. His focus is on building a consistent, reliable workflow that delivers quality work across a wide range of projects.
Under his leadership, ACTV has received 10 Lone Star Emmy Awards and 11 NATOA Overall Excellence in Government Programming awards. In 2013, Mark was also recognized with NATOA’s Brian Wilson Award for Programming Excellence.
In addition to his work with the city, Mark teaches at Collin College, where he has led courses in cinematography, team production, and portfolio development. Over the years, he has taught a range of video production and film history classes, with an emphasis on preparing students for real-world expectations.
He holds degrees in Film and Theater Arts from the University of Arizona.
Mark and his wife Cher, an artist and surface pattern designer, have two children, Sedona and Lance.
