Digital Inclusion – Silver Digital Sneakers

Learn about programs to serve older adults to help prevent social isolation with the ongoing pandemic and beyond.

This topic is particularly timely because COVID-19 has exposed a hidden crisis in connectivity for America's older adults.  Advanced age is one of the largest predictors of lower technology use and research shows the gap in connectivity among older adults.  Without home internet service, seniors are most vulnerable both to COVID-19 and to the detrimental effects of social isolation.   Learn about public-private partnerships and programs that are enhancing older adults' virtual learning and digital engagement with demonstrable social outcomes.

Moderator: Gabriel Garcia, Director & Senior Counsel, CPS Energy

Speakers: Tom Kamber, Founder and Executive Director, Older Adults Technology Services (OATS); Shannah Koss, Executive Vice President Community Development, Livpact, Inc.; and Kami Griffiths, Executive Director/Co-Founder, Community Tech Network (CTN)
