Longview, Texas Seeks Director of Information Services

The City of Longview seeks an experienced Information Services leader with a broad set of skills and a passion for collaboration and innovation. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of project management, strategic planning, budget administration, and the implementation of technology systems and software integral to the success of municipal operations. They are also comfortable working in partnership with staff across the organization as well as appointed and elected leaders and have experience administering or managing a strong cybersecurity program, GIS operations, facility access control and camera systems, and emergency dispatch software.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field as well as five years of network administration and security management experience, including two in a supervisory role. An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the responsibilities of the position may be considered. Candidates will be required to complete their National Incident Management System certifications within one year of employment and both their Certified Geographic Information System Professional and Certified Government Chief Information Officer coursework within three years.

The annual salary range for this position is $108,936 to $115,000, dependent upon experience and qualifications.
