NATOA, ACM and ACD File Amicus Brief Defending PEG Channels in US Supreme Court

Top Issues,

NATOA, along with partners Alliance for Community Media and Alliance for Communications Democracy filed an amicus brief with the US Supreme Court on January 18, 2019 in the MCAC vs Halleck case. The brief refutes the claims of NCTA which filed an amicus earlier which claimed outlandishly that the 1984 Cable Act was unconstitutional and all PEG channels in the US should be taken away from communities, local governments and educational institutions.

Read a copy of the brief here. The court will hear oral arguments in the case February 25.
