Ormond Beach seeks a servant leader of high integrity to serve as its next IT Manager. The selected individual must be passionate about public service, be adaptable and flexible, and operate as a working team leader who fully understands the City’s IT operations and can fill-in for staff as needed. Candidates should have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of operating systems and software, system design and analysis, security, management information systems and networking, IBM iSeries, Microsoft operating systems on servers and workstations, telephone messaging systems, and multi-function printers. The IT Manager participates as a member of the City’s senior management team. Experience in a public sector environment is preferred.
A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a closely related field and a minimum of eight (8) years of previous experience and/or training that includes experience in management, development, implementation, and operation of computer-based information systems is required. Candidates with an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered. Governmental/public sector agency experience is preferred. The desired starting salary range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
