NATOA Honors Congresswoman Anna Eshoo with 2023 Jane E. Lawton Memorial Award

For immediate release -- October 3, 2023, Long Beach, CA -- The National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) honored Congresswoman Anna Eshoo with the 2023 Jane E. Lawton Award during NATOA's Annual Conference today in Long Beach, CA to recognize her extraordinary service on behalf of local governments and communities throughout the United States.

"Congresswoman Eshoo exemplifies an elected leader that tirelessly advocates for local governments' rights and community interests in communications," stated NATOA President Michael Russo. "Her efforts span across advocacy for public rights-of-way management by local governments, the introduction of the Community Broadband Act to improve internet and broadband access across the country and co-sponsoring the Protecting Community Television Act, to name a few. We are proud to recognize her distinguished career of more than 30 years with this award."

The Jane E. Lawton Commemorative Award is presented annually to an elected official in memory of the Honorable Jane E. Lawton, past president of NATOA, for her career-long efforts to promote community interests in communications.
