FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -- May 13, 2022 -- The National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) commends the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) for its tremendous efforts to release its Notice of Funding Opportunity for three significant grant programs:  Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment Program, State Digital Equity Planning Grant Program and Middle Mile Broadband Infrastructure Grant Program.  NATOA President Michael Russo released the following statement:

“The release of the NOFOs is a significant milestone in implementing Congress’s $65 billion investment in broadband as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.  Local governments have been working very hard to close the digital divide for many years, using all available tools and resources to try to ensure equitable access to affordable services.  We want to make sure nobody is left behind.  These federal grant programs provide significant new resources that have the potential to change the lives of millions of Americans. NATOA and our members are eager to work with our state and federal partners to ensure that this historic investment in broadband achieves our shared goal of reliable, affordable and high quality broadband for everyone, everywhere.”
