FCC Proposes Broadband Consumer Labels

The FCC adopted a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking seeking comment on proposed rules to require the display of broadband consumer labels, as described in a Public Notice the FCC issued on April 4, 2016 (DA 16-357), to disclose to consumers information regarding broadband Internet access service plans, including information regarding whether the offered price is an introductory rate and, if so, the price the consumer will be required to pay following the introductory period.  The rulemaking was required in the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.  Comments will be due 30 days after publication in the Federal Register; Reply Comments due 45 days after publication.
